In Milan, the final of the best Erasmus Talent 2017 and the first International Talents Match
Two important moments characterise the Annual Meeting of garagErasmus Foundation on 25 January, in which 30 European Universities will participate
Participating in Erasmus increases the possibility, for many, to find a more satisfying job, thanks to the skills acquired during the study or work experience abroad.
Based on this principle is the Annual Meeting of garagErasmus Foundation, which for five years, supported by the European Commission, strengthened by a network of currently 15.000 ex international students and 30 European Universities, has developed projects for all professionals that have an international profile. The Annual Meeting will be hosted by Foundation member UBI Banca. "We are really proud to be the first bank to become a Foundation Member" said the Regional Manager Riccardo Tramezzani, "and we're honored to host, here in Milan, the garagErasmus Annual Meeting".
The Foundation will present two highly innovative projects for the forthcoming year. First of all, from 16:30 the first International Talents Match will commence: 60 young Italian and international graduates will have ten minutes to present themselves and convince one of the 6 participating companies that they are the international candidate they are looking for. “This event has been made possible,” confirms the Foundation CEO, Fabrizio Bitetto, “thanks to the great synergy created between the Universities and the other associations of Lombardy that have given a maximum collaboration; we want all talents in Milan, whether they are Italians that have returned from an experience abroad, or international students, in Milan for Erasmus or that have moved here for the entirety of their University careers, to always have more opportunities to find paid work. Right now we will carry this out in Milan, but the objective is to take the project to at least five other European cities to make it, bit by bit, global, not just European.”
To follow, from 19:30, the six best Erasmus talents of the year, chosen by a community of another 15.000 ex-Erasmus out of 500 candidates, will present live their project in an attempt to be awarded with the Golden Laissez-Passer, the Erasmus prize of the year, which brings with it a grant of 3.000 Euros which the winner can invest in their own dreams: in details, the Foundation will fund an entrepreneurial project, a master or a mobility experience. They will arrive, backpacks on, from Armenia, Kenya, Germany, Latvia, Macedonia and Turkey to compete for the prestigious title.
Participants to the event will include participants from the European Commission, the Erasmus+ National Agency, the Youth Agency, the Lombardy Region and from approximately 30 Universities representative of countries from all over Europe. The companies that will participate in the International Talents Match in the role of recruiter will be Coca Cola Italy, HP Italy, Experis, Kering, Medispa and WiPJobs.
